We hope this communication finds our Dragon Families well-rested and rejuvenated after a wonderful summer. I am Pat Runstedler, the principal of St. Isidore and am thrilled to be working alongside all of you again to create a vibrant remote learning environment for your children and build on the strong foundation already in place.
In addition to supporting St. Isidore half-time, I will be serving as a system support principal around data integration, D2L and anything innovation. As a staff we promise to challenge ourselves and the children we serve to be the best versions of themselves they can be as they discover the countless gifts they possess. Now for pertinent information around your child(ren)’s return to school.
Our first school day will be Tuesday, September 5th, 2022 and the teachers are busy preparing for you. A new year naturally brings about new beginnings and with that comes new staff and opportunities. We welcome Susan Weachter as our Admin Assistant (susan.weachter@wcdsb.ca) and Emily MacPhee (emily.macphee@wcdsb.ca) as our half time Library Technician. As well, Theresa McClory and Cathy Walker will be joining the St Isidore team in the role of special education and planning time respectively. St. Isidore’s ‘bricks and mortar’ homebase has moved from St. Luke CES in Waterloo to St. Boniface Catholic Elementary School in Breslau. If you need to get in touch with the Administrative Staff at St. Isidore, please call us at 226-241-4651.

NewsWire:
This year, our main communication with our home partners will be through our School Messenger and occasionally Newswire found on our school website. Please visit our website at https://stisidore.wcdsb.ca/ and scroll to the bottom of the page to subscribe to our mailing list to receive our newsletter containing weekly school updates and activities as well as school council information. Also found on our website is our code of conduct outlining student responsibilities. Please take a moment to review with your child.
Class Placements
We welcome new students coming from London, Windsor-Essex, Brant-Haldimand, Niagara and Wellington CSBs as well as existing students Huron Perth, St. Clair, Northwestern and Waterloo Catholic District School boards. New student enrolments or students deciding to return to in-person learning may result in changes in class configurations and teaching assignments in early September. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
To find out your child’s teacher for this school year, you will be able to access the information on your ASPEN Parent Portal after Friday, September 1st.
Finally, it cannot be said enough: THANK YOU for working with us in partnership to ensure a safe, healthy, and happy return to school for all. We are so excited to “see” all of you very soon!!
