Following a thorough review Waterloo Catholic District school board has made the decision to discontinue the elementary virtual learning program at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
WCDSB has offered a virtual learning program option for students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 for the past three years. Virtual learning options were mandated by the Ministry of Education through the COVID-19 pandemic for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years. The Ministry no longer requires school boards to offer a virtual learning option for elementary students.
It has been a pleasure serving as your principal with the privilege of supporting an inspiring group of students spanning several Catholic School boards including St. Clair, Huron-Perth, Northeastern, Niagara, Brant-Haldimand, Wellington, Windsor-Essex and London CSBs.
The staff is grateful for the opportunity to work with your children and is committed to finishing the year as strong as we started.
If you wish to continue virtual learning for your child, we recommend families contact Toronto Catholic District School Board. The TCDSB will continue to offer the option of virtual learning at St. Anne Catholic Academy, School of Virtual Learning for the 2024-2025 school year.
